Defenders is a DreamBot task for OSRS that farms Defenders from the Warriors' Guild, from Bronze up to the Dragon defender. The task handles both Cyclops fighting and Animated Armour token farming. This page is for the standalone premium script that can run as an add-on to script categories, excluding GAIO.

Features

  • Full progression from no Defenders up to the Dragon defender (the ceiling. The Avernic defender comes from Cerberus and is out of scope here).
 * Customisable token farming:
 * Select which Animated Armour type to fight
 * Set starting token threshold (when to switch to Defender farming)
  • Combat configuration:
 * Food type and quantity selection
 * Restore and combat potion settings
 * Protect from Melee toggle
 * 1-tick prayer flicking support
 * Trains Attack, Strength and Defence up to your chosen levels while it fights
  • Ironman-aware: brings dynamic food capped by what you own, and won't try to buy combat/restore potions or jewellery an ironman can't.
  • Equipment system:
 * Dynamic gearing: Automatically equips the best gear within player-set price limits per slot
 * Manual gearing: One-click import of currently worn equipment
 * Custom price limits for each equipment slot (e.g., set "Max Amulet Value" to 400k for gear ≤ 400,000gp)

General Settings

Setting Tooltip
Goal Defender The defender to get. If you only want to get a Rune Defender, select Rune Defender here. Ranges from Bronze up to Dragon defender (the Avernic defender isn't here, that comes from Cerberus).
Defender Count The amount of goal defenders to get.
Start count threshold The script will only start farming defenders if your owned count of your goal defender is equal to or less than the value defined here. This is primarily for add-on users.
Use Prot Melee If this is selected, the script will use protect melee.
One Tick Flick If use prot melee, menu manipulation, and this is enabled, the script will one tick flick when killing cyclops and animated armour.
Animated Armour This is the tier of animated armour the script should kill for tokens. The options are Rune, Adamant, Mithril or Black (each is the full helm + platebody + platelegs of that metal).
Tokens To Start Farming This is the amount of tokens the script will need before leaving the animated room to go farm defenders.
Train Attack Until The script will train Attack until you hit this level. Overridden by your account-builder target levels when running under GAIO.
Train Strength Until The script will train Strength until you hit this level. Overridden by your account-builder target levels when running under GAIO.
Train Defence Until The script will train Defence until you hit this level. Overridden by your account-builder target levels when running under GAIO.
Restore Potion The restore potion to bring. The options are Prayer potion, Super restore or Moonlight moth mix.
Restore Count Amount of restore potions the script will withdraw at the bank.
Combat Potion The combat potion to bring. The options are Divine super combat, Divine super attack, Divine super strength, Super combat, Combat, Super attack, Super strength, Strength, Attack or None.
Combat Count This is the amount of combat potions it will bring.
Food Count This is the amount of food it will bring.
Food The food it will bring. You can pick any food you like except Cooked bream and Cooked moss lizard, and it defaults to Monkfish.

Notes

  • You need to be able to enter the Warriors' Guild before running. That's 130 combined Attack + Strength, or level 99 in either. The script will stop and tell you if you don't meet it.
  • The script automatically transitions between Animated Armour farming and Cyclops fighting based on token count. It farms tokens whenever it has fewer than your Tokens to Start value, and tops back up any time it runs low.
  • Token farming: it animates your chosen armour set at the Magical Animator, kills the Animated Armour, and talks to Shanomi ("My armour disappeared!") to get the set back if it goes missing.
  • Cyclops routing: lower tiers are killed in the upstairs cyclops room. Once you're going for the Dragon defender and already own a Rune defender, it moves down to the basement cyclops. To unlock the basement it walks the Rune defender to Lorelai and shows it to her (unequipping it from the shield slot first if needed).
  • It stops at your goal: once your owned count of the goal defender hits Defender Count, the standalone script force-banks and stops (as an add-on it just hands off to the next task).
  • The banker keeps your teleport jewellery topped up: Games necklace to get to the guild, plus Ring of dueling and Combat bracelet, withdrawing charged ones (and skipping anything an ironman can't get).
  • Dynamic gearing respects both equipment tier and player-set GP limits per slot.

Equipment

This tab allows you to set the Equipment the script will bring. On most PVM Scripts, this is further split into Two Tabs, Manual Equipment and Dynamic Equipment. Some Scripts, like GFightCaves will only have the Manual Equipment option. Others like Guester will only have the Dyanmic Option.

Manual Equipment

This tab is for manually defining gear that the script will bring. Using your mouse, left click into the Gear Selection Icon of your choice. In the below example, the Shield icon.

Once selected, you'll notice a white border around the Shield icon. On the right search box, begin typing in the item name. In my example, I've typed in "Dragon Defender".

In my search, there are three returned values. It is very important that you right-click on the item that your character has equipped, or is in the bag/bank.

For example, if you select Dragon Defender (t) but in your bank is Dragon Defender (l) then the script will error because you have manually selected an untradeable gear that it cannot buy at the Grand Exchange.

This tab also includes a Import Gear button. If you press this, the script will check the gear the character is currently wearing, and import that as the mandatory gear.

Dynamic Equipment

This tab is for allowing the script to dynamically select the gear the script will bring. Some scripts will only have one Dynamic Tab (i.e GTormentedDemons) and others will have three for all three combat styles (i.e GSandCrabs).

The GP value you enter into each field will be the limit the script will spend for that slot. If you have a more expensive item in your bank that what is defined in the dynamic tab, the script will instead use this instead of buying a cheaper item.

An example would be a Necklace of Anguish. If you have an Anguish in the bank, but only set a 50,000 coin limit for the neck slot. Instead of a script buying a Glory, it'll just use the Anguish if using ranged.

This item values are also dynamic. We'll use the Anguish in the below example again.

If you set the neck value to 15,000,000. Then in April 2024, the script would buy an Anguish to use if ranging. However in April 2025, because the Anguish is now at the time of writing 23 million GP, the script will not purchase an Anguish to use.
