Smithing Priority & Level Offset

Setting Description
Smithing Priority Dynamic or Custom. If set to Dynamic, the script randomly assigns a weight between 1 & 999.
Level Offset A number value between 0 & 99

Training Methods

GAIO Smithing provides comprehensive training solutions through traditional smithing, smelting and the Blast Furnace & Giant's Foundry minigames.

Method Items/Bars Level Range XP/HR
Giant's Foundry Alloy armor creation 15-99 30k-400k
Blast Furnace All Metal bars 30-99 50k-350k
Regular Smithing Supported items 1-99 10k-250k
Smelting Bronze barIron barGold bar 1-99 5k-80k

Recommended Setups

Level Range Best Method
1-30 Regular Smithing Bronze & Iron items
30-60 Giant's Foundry
60-99 Blast Furnace Gold bars with Goldsmith Gauntlets for Best XP or Steel + Mithril Bars for best GP

We recommend using Blast Furnace from 60-99 due to the GP that can be made smelting Mithril and Steel bars. However if you have hit a buy limit, Giant's Foundry is a great alternative to train to 99.

Giant's Foundry

This task completes the Giant's Foundry minigame. It will automatically gather Ice Gloves if you have Level 50 Mining.

The task will dynamically purchase items from the Grand Exchange to use in the minigame, based on your smithing level and the gp per xp. You will notice different items purchased as the market fluctuates and your smithing level increases.

There is currently no support to force certain items/bars or purchase rewards from the shop.

Requirements

  • Level 15 Smithing
  • Completed the quest Sleeping Giants
  • Enough coins for the task to purchase items used in the crucible.

Blast Furnace

This task is a DreamBot script that completes the OSRS Blast Furnace minigame, smelting ore into bars for Smithing XP and profit. It will automatically swap to a mass world, as solo's are not supported, continuously pinging the valid Blast Furnace worlds and hopping to the lowest-ping one. It handles the whole loop for you: it buys your ores (and coal) off the Grand Exchange, puts them on the conveyor belt, collects the finished bars from the dispenser, and keeps the coffer topped up. Below Smithing 60 it'll also pay the Foreman the entry fee for you; at 60+ that fee is no longer needed.

It manages a Coal bag automatically (filling and emptying it at the conveyor), and for cooling the dispenser it'll use Ice Gloves or Smithing gloves (i) if you own them, otherwise falling back to buying and using Buckets of water. It also drinks Stamina potions (falling back to Energy potions) to keep run energy up. Ironman accounts are supported: it won't try to buy anything off the GE and will instead lean on your bank stock.

It will automatically gather Ice Gloves for you if you have the requirements (see below).

General Settings

Setting Description
Stop Level The smithing level to stop at.
Goal Bar The forced bar to attempt to make. If you select a bar you cannot currently make, the script will roll a bar dynamically until you have the level to make your chosen bar.
Dynamic GP/HR Limit A bar must make above this value in terms of GP/HR in order to be rolled.
Minutes to rest on buy limit If a currently used ingredient is detected as being on buy limit, this is the amount of time the script will log out for after detection.
Minutes to blacklist on buy limit If a currently used ingredient is detected as being on buy limit, this is the amount of time the script will blacklist that ingredient for.
If you do not want any black listing behaviour, set this value to 0.
Sell ores after task If enabled, the script will sell off any leftover ores (and bars) once the task finishes, then disable Blast Furnace for an hour. Off by default.

Supported Bars

These are the bars you can pick under Goal Bar. Leave it on Dynamic and the script rolls whichever bar makes the most GP/HR that you can currently make (gated by the Dynamic GP/HR Limit). If you force a bar above your level, it'll roll dynamically until you've got the level for it.

Bar Smithing Level Ingredients
Bronze bar 1 Copper ore + Tin ore
Iron bar 15 Iron ore (no coal)
Silver bar 20 Silver ore
Steel bar 30 Iron ore + 1 Coal
Gold bar 40 Gold ore (uses Goldsmith gauntlets)
Mithril bar 50 Mithril ore + 2 Coal
Adamantite bar 70 Adamantite ore + 3 Coal
Runite bar 85 Runite ore + 4 Coal

Note: for any of the coal bars (Steel, Mithril, Adamantite, Runite) a Coal bag roughly doubles your bars per hour, so it's strongly recommended. The script auto-fills and empties it for you. Bronze has a built-in corrector that handles the tin/copper desync that can leave ore stuck in the furnace. If it gets out of balance it'll buy the deficit ore and clear the pot.

Requirements

  • Membership.
  • Started the quest The Giant Dwarf to gain access to Keldagrim.
  • Enough coins to keep the coffer topped up. It keeps the coffer funded automatically, topping it up before it runs dry. If you're broke and not an ironman, it'll auto-sell your bars to fund it.
  • Enough gold for Stamina potions and ore (non-ironman).

Recommendations

Auto-gathering Ice Gloves

If you don't own Ice Gloves or Smithing gloves (i), the script can go fetch a pair of Ice Gloves for you by killing the Ice Queen. This kicks in when you've got Mining 50 and Prayer 43. It gears up mage armour and the best fire weapon you've got, banks Sharks, Prayer potions, Stamina potions, runes, a Bronze pickaxe and Camelot tabs, walks to the Ice Queen's lair, flicks Protect from Melee, and loots the gloves off her.

Regular Smithing

GAIO Smithing is an OSRS DreamBot script that trains Smithing by hammer-smithing bars into items at an anvil. Define an item to make, or let it dynamically choose what to create based on your Smithing level and GP available.

Configuration Options

Setting Options Description
Stop Level 0-99 This option sets the level the script will stop once it is reached. Set to 0 to train beyond 99.
Random Level Offset 1-10 If Stop Level is set to 60, and offset is 5, the target level will be set to 60 - 65, unique per account.
Item to Make Dynamic
Specific
Dynamically pick the best item for your level and GP, or force a specific one. In Dynamic mode it works down the platebody ladder (Rune (99), Adamant (88), Mithril (68), Steel (48), Iron (33), Bronze (18)) and makes the highest one you can afford, falling back to the best sub-platebody piece your level meets. It won't auto-buy iron bars unless you already own some, so it won't burn your gold on iron when something better is available.
Disable Selling Enable
Disable

Location Varrock Anvil
Prifddinas
Port Khazard
Void Knights' Outpost

The anvil the script will smith at, banking nearby between batches. Varrock is the F2P default; the rest are members' worlds. Prifddinas needs Song of the Elves done first.

The following items are available to select in the Item to Make option if you do not want it to dynamically pick one. The level shown is the Smithing level needed, and bars is how many it eats per item.

Supported Items to Make
Item Level Bars
Rune Platebody 99 5 Runite
Adamant Platebody 88 5 Adamantite
Mithril Platebody 68 5 Mithril
Steel Platebody 48 5 Steel
Iron Platebody 33 5 Iron
Iron Platelegs 31 3 Iron
Iron Kiteshield 27 3 Iron
Iron Full Helm 22 2 Iron
Iron Axe 16 1 Iron
Bronze Platebody 18 5 Bronze
Bronze Platelegs 16 3 Bronze
Bronze Kiteshield 12 3 Bronze
Bronze Full Helm 7 2 Bronze
Bronze Axe 1 1 Bronze

Tips

Enable "Dynamic" mode so it adapts to GE price changes and picks the best item as your level rises.

Smelting

This training method allows you to smelt the ores you have gathering from the Mining skill if selling ores setting was set to disable. This option will not purchase ores from the Grand Exchange to smelt. Currently the Smelting training methods supports smeling the below ores at the Edgeville furnace:

  • Bronze Bar (Tin and Copper Ores)
  • Iron Bar (Iron Ores)
  • Gold Bar (Gold Ores)
