It handles the whole loop for you: it buys your ores (and coal) off the [[osrs:Grand Exchange|Grand Exchange]], puts them on the conveyor belt, collects the finished bars from the dispenser, and keeps the [[osrs:Blast Furnace#Coffer|coffer]] topped up. Below Smithing 60 it'll also pay the [[osrs:Blast Furnace Foreman|Foreman]] the entry fee for you; at 60+ that fee is no longer needed.
